The Millers Association of Zambia (MAZ), has expressed optimism about the 2025 maize yield, with promising growth reported in eight provinces.
In an interview with Capital FM, MAZ president Andrew Chintala has warned that initial observations may not accurately reflect the final yield, emphasizing the importance of waiting for the official forecast survey results due in May.
He says the results will provide a clear picture of Zambia’s maize yields, informing decisions on food security and potential exports, adding that surplus crop will create export opportunities.
